Scribblenauts Showdown Announced

By VeronicaJanuary 16, 2018

From Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment comes another installment in the Scribblenauts series – Scribblenauts Showdown. The series that lets players conjure up objects by typing nouns into its interface returns for its first new entry since 2013’s Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure.

Enjoy getting creative with wordplay and watching objects interact in unexpected ways, this time in a fast-paced multiplayer environment. Scribblenauts Showdown is a party game that allows cooperative and competitive play within new levels and a variety of minigames, boasting a library of over 35,000 objects.

Showdown will feature Versus, Sandbox, and Showdown modes for 1-4 players. The Versus mode pits two players against each other in a series of 25 minigames; Sandbox mode allows 1-2 players to solve objectives in eight new levels by inputting words to summon objects and using their imagination.

The new Showdown mode allows up to 4 players to compete using “card based strategy and creative skill”. With a variety of minigames based on speed of completion or creativity of wordplay, players of all skill levels will be able to enjoy the Showdown mode.

Customize your own Scribblenaut and unlock new clothing and accessories as you progress. Enjoy new ways to play in the same beloved Scribblenauts artstyle with Scribblenauts Showdown, arriving March 6 for Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
