Netflix Still A Possibility On The Nintendo Switch

Let’s be honest, the Nintendo Switch is pretty awesome. It’s portable, so you can take it anywhere you want and play your game. It’s got ways to turn a one-player game into a two-person co-op title with a disconnecting of a Joy-Con. It’s got some of the best games on the market right now (like Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, etc.). It’s got a lot going for it. One thing it doesn’t have though…is Netflix.

Now, yes, it does have Hulu, and Hulu has its advantages, but why not have ALL the binge-watching services you can, right? Well, a Netflix representative told Polygon that there is still a possibility that the service could come to the Nintendo Switch.

“We are still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time”

Given the popularity of the system, we’d be very surprised if the service WASN’T talking to Nintendo in some capacity. Whether it actually comes forward or not? That’ll be up to them, but the opportunity is definitely there.
