Bandai Namco’s Gunpla Title Is Coming To North America

By Keith MitchellJanuary 30, 2018

Let’s go New Gundam Breaker!

Honestly, I don’t think this is real or not, but I’m liking the news. Bandai Namco has sent word that their Gunpla (Gundam model building) title, New Gundam Breaker, is making its way over to North America. While is actually pretty big news if you think about it. While Gundam has enjoyed a somewhat limited success, thanks to the animes (Gundam Wing started it all), the Gunpla side of things hasn’t been as lucky.

So it’s amazing that a title that’s all about building the ultimate Gundam is heading this way. In New Gundam Breaker, you’ll be able to mix and match different Gunpla’s and take them into battle. For those who’ve watched the Gundam Build Fighters animes, it’s sorta like that. Only without the battle system that brings the Gunpla’s to life. Seriously, the Gundam lover in me is geeking out about this news.

According to Bandai Namco, New Gundam Breaker will include both a story mode and a 3v3 co-op mode. And while it’s the first entry in the Gundam Breaker series. It is the first game to make it’s way over to North America.

And while this isn’t tied to the Gundam Build Fighters anime, I’d love to see some of those characters make an appearance. I mean, wouldn’t it be cool if like Sei Iori, Reji, Sekai or Yuuma, made some sort of appearance?

New Gundam Breaker is coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4, sometime during 2018.
