Catherine: Full Body Announced For PS4 And PS Vita

By Keith MitchellDecember 19, 2017

It’s a remaster with some extra loving

So Catherine, perhaps one of my favorite PS3 titles, is getting a remaster of sorts. Atlus has confirmed that they were working on a previous pS3 game, a game that many assumed was Catherine. Well, those guesses were correct as Atlus has announced Catherine: Full Body for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. Sadly, there’s no Xbox One version, despite the original Catherine doing well on the Xbox 360. It’s even backward compatible.

Catherine: Full Body isn’t just a remaster, as it adds yet one more character to the game.Yep, we’re going to see a new female interest, with this one having pink hair. Word is that she’ll have a completely different personality compared to the other two Catherines.

Apparently, the new character is called “Rin”. She also happens to be a pianist at the bar that Vincent frequents.

In addition, there will be new scenes for both original Catherine and Katherine. Several new “Sexy Events”, online-battle, cross-save support and more. You’ll also be able to swap between the new game mode and the original game mode throughout the game.

The game is in development by Persona 5 director Katsura Hashino, who helms Studio Zero. Many wondered what he would be up to, ever since he announced that he would no longer be working on the Persona series.

No word on when we can expect Catherine: Full Body to be released. However, there will be a special live stream on NicoNico that takes place on December 22, 7:30PM JST. We’ll find out more about the title then and I can’t wait. I enjoyed the original Catherine. Especially since it was a game that I could sit down and place with my wife – who also loved it.

Still, it’s a shame it’s not coming to Xbox One.

Thanks, Siliconera!
