IndieBox Is Shutting Down their Subscription Service

If you’re either a fan or a member of IndieBox ‘s subscription service, we have bad news for you. As of yesterday, the company has announced that they will no longer provide the subscription service. The Torchlight II: The Collector’s Edition which is shipping this month will be the last offering from them. It just seems like the subscription model simply wasn’t working out as expected.

I simply adored their subscription service, as well as the online store. There aren’t many places you can get a collector’s edition for PC games. Let alone for Indie PC games, and this is where IndieBox shined. I still have Galak-Z collector’s edition, still sealed. I can’t bear to open it. Though, that action figure is so tempting.

They won’t be just abandoning current member either. If you’re a subscriber, they’ll cancel your subscription for you. And if you have additional months with the service, they’ll be reaching out to you with what happens next.

Thankfully, this isn’t the end of the company – just the subscription service. While they haven’t mentioned what their next phase will be, they have stressed that they aren’t going away. We’ll just have to wait and see what the company has planned. Still, it stinks to see this service go. However, the online store is still up and you can purchase any number of collector’s editions for some of your favorite indie games.
