Special Edition For Fire Emblem Warriors Revealed

By Todd BlackAugust 29, 2017
Fire Emblem Warriors

Fire Emblem Warriors is an interesting combination of the Nintendo franchise and the style of gameplay from Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors franchise. They’ve done this kind of collaboration before with Legend of Zelda via Hyrule Warriors, but this is something different entirely. It’ll go deeper, be more grand and have a much bigger roster.

But that’s not all, as Nintendo revealed in a press release today, Fire Emblem Warriors will be getting a special edition that you can buy. Here is what will be in it:

“This special edition comes with the Nintendo Switch game, plus three CDs with music from the game. Fans also will receive character art cards on 5-by-7-inch premium card stock, and a slip case to hold the cards. Finally, the special edition will come with a dual-sided poster showing the first Fire Emblem games the characters appeared in. One side of the poster will be in English, while the other will be in Japanese. The special edition for Nintendo Switch goes on sale Oct. 20 at a suggested retail price of $79.99, the same day the game launches for the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL and New Nintendo 2DS XL systems.”

That’s right, this special edition has revealed the release date for the game. Ironically enough, it’s only a few days before the release of Super Mario Odyssey. Why are they doing it that close? It’s a bit unclear, but regardless, many are going to be happy not only for this special edition, but that we have a release date for the game.
