Gamescom 2017 has officially kicked off and Nintendo is trying to out do everyone. How are they going about that? Well, they’re showing off a new location for their upcoming 3D platformer, Super Mario Odyssey – and it looks interesting
At first glance, this looks like what you’d get if you crossed Super Mario Galaxy with Cooking Mama. There’s cooking, there’s plenty of action and of course, there’s a lot of hat tossing and swapping. Follow along with Yoshiaki Koizumi, the game producer of the title as he gives us overview and tour of the new location.

Super Mario Odyssey launches for the Nintendo Switch on October 27th, 2017. I can’t wait for it as it’s the sole reason I picked up the Nintendo Switch and I’m hoping that this will captivate me just like all the previous 3D Mario titles did.
