WWE 2K18 Coming to Nintendo Switch

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieJuly 10, 2017

Would you believe that it has been 5 years since a WWE game has released on a Nintendo home console? Not to mention it has been 7 years since a release on a Nintendo handheld? Well, that’s all changing with WWE 2K18 on Nintendo Switch.

With the help of WWE 2K18 cover athlete Seth Rollins, WWE and 2K Games revealed that WWE 2K18 will also be coming to Nintendo Switch on October 17th. The release coincides with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases. WWE 2K18 is the first time since WWE ’13 that Nintendo home consoles will get a WWE title, and the first time on a handheld from Nintendo since SmackDown vs Raw 2010, both under the THQ banner.

According to the announcement on WWE.com:

Switch enthusiasts who choose to step into the WWE 2K18 ring can expect a flurry of new features in this year’s game, many of which were detailed recently in a 2K developer’s blog post. This includes matches featuring up to eight Superstars, a more expansive backstage area, new weight detection and grapple carry systems and much more.

This statement indicates that WWE 2K18 on Nintendo Switch will be on par, at least features wise, with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of the game.

WWE 2K18 releases on October 17th and is currently available for pre-order on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. All pre-orders will receive 2 versions of WWE Hall of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle as a pre-order bonus.
