The second season of 2016’s Netflix phenom, Stranger Things, has been confirmed for an October 27th premiere on the streaming platform. The announcement was made on Twitter earlier today accompanied by a new trailer, which can be seen below:

Set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, the first season [of Stranger Things] focuses on the investigation into the disappearance of a young boy by his friends, older brother and traumatized mother and the local police chief, amid supernatural events occurring around the town including the appearance of a psychokinetic girl who helps the missing boy’s friends in their own search.
