SDCC 2017 – Spider-Man, Nemesis, Frank West, Haggar Confirmed for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieJuly 20, 2017

The Mayor of Planet Earth is back, baby!

At the Marvel Games panel during San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, Marvel unveiled the four newest characters to the Marvel vs Capcom Infinite roster, after what was seemingly a disappointing showing at EVO 2017.

Final Fight’s Mike Haggar is making his return to the VS series after his initial appearance in Marvel vs Capcom 3. He is joined by fan favorites Spider-Man and Frank West, as well as Resident Evil’s Nemesis.

As seen above in the trailer from SDCC, the four characters are seemingly unchanged from Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, with the lone exception being Spider-Man’s new Hyper Combo, which sees him dodging pumpkin bombs and throwing them at his opponent.

This comes off of the reveal of Jedah Dohma from Vampire Savior and the first glimpse of Gamora gameplay from EVO last weekend.

A playable build with the new characters will be available at SDCC tomorrow.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite will release on Xbox One, Steam and PlayStation 4 on September 19th.
