E3 2017 – EA Reveals Star Wars Battlefront II Beta Access and New Campaign Details

By Yhani JonesJune 10, 2017

Star Wars fans across the globe were definitely excited to hear about all of the new game features planned for Star Wars Battlefront II at E3 during EA’s conference. Check out the official gameplay trailer below!

During their conference today, EA announced that those who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront II will get special goodies before everyone else. Pre-ordering the game will give players early access to the multiplayer beta sometime this fall before its official release on November 17th. On top of that, those players will get instant access to Yoda’s epic Lightsaber Mastery as well as exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi outfits for the Episode VII characters, Kylo Ren and Rey.

In addition to pre-order news, the overwhelming request for an offline single player campaign was finally acknowledged at the EA Play event, which debuted even more footage for us to get excited over.

As of now, we know that the campaign will focus on the Imperial forces rather than the those who stand with the Rebellion as we are previously used to. That’s right, a brand new take from the perspective of an Inferno Squad member named Iden Versio, an elite TIE fighter pilot and soldier who stands with the Empire’s vision.

The game director at EA’s Motive studios, Mark Thompson, stated that the team wanted to go beyond the heroic stories of the Rebellion and instead, explore a new front line of war and give the Empire their own heroes in the same way.

In all, this is undoubtedly a refreshing new Star Wars adventure that fans cans look forward to playing and delve into an experience that is sure to stir up conversations and debates.

That said, there are plenty of reasons to go ahead and pre-order Star Wars Battlefront II. New multiplayer features, brand new maps, and best of all you can now play as a droid! Check out the official details as far as what will and will not be released through pre-order for the Standard and Deluxe editions.
