Johnny Gat makes his way to Agents of Mayhem from Saints Row

By Karl SmartJune 9, 2017
Johnny Gat

Johnny Gat, a fan favorite from the hit series Saints Row, makes his way into the upcoming third person shooter Agents of Mayhem. The upcoming game from Deep Silver Volition, the makers of Saints Row, will be using Johnny Gat to secure your money as pre-order DLC. You can see Johnny Gat in all his pre-order goodness in the trailer below:

According to the press release sent out to media today:

The “Have God recreate the Earth and retcon the entire world of Saints Row” ending of Gat out of Hell means that the dead don’t stay dead.  Johnny is back where he was born, Seoul and he’s a cop; the events of Devil’s Night left Johnny in a coma.  On waking almost a year later Johnny discovers that all of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency have been wiped out and replaced with C.O.P robot units.  Johnny hates robots but loves guns and his reputation for wanton destruction makes him the perfect fit for MAYHEM.

So this means that the worlds of Saints Row and Agents of Mayhem are connected. Not a bad way to create some background for the game. The last time we saw Johnny Gat was in Saints Row IV: Gat Out of Hell, which I reviewed before my days at The Outerhaven; which you can see by clicking here. In addition to Johnny Gat, pre-ordering Agents of Mayhem at retail will also secure the “Legal Action Pending” skin pack for Hollywood, Hardtack, Fortune, Braddock, Yeti and Daisy.

We will probably see more out of Johnny Gat and the Agents of Mayhem during E3, or at minimum see the game in some sort of playable format on the show floor. If this happens then The Outerhaven will be there to show off whatever we can get our hands on. You can view all The Outerhaven’s E3 2017 coverage via this link.

Agents of Mayhem is a single-player, open-world, third-person action game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC gaming systems releasing on 18th August. For more information visit aomthegame.com.
