E3 2017: Bionik Gaming Switch Gigabit Adapter And Elite Kit On Display

By Keith MitchellJune 15, 2017
Bionik Gaming

vailvvDuring E3 2017, Bionik Gaming had multiple accessories on display.  Ranging from VR headsets, charging cables, a Joy-Con charging base and more. However, one that caught my eye was a new ethernet adaptor that they’re releasing for the Switch.

Bionik Gaming

Set to be released sometime in August, and will be priced at $24.99. Now, this isn’t any simple adapter and instead is a USB 3.o Gigabit adapter. Meaning if you have the proper network setup, you’ll see a huge improvement in network speeds. According to the representative I spoke with, he was able to test the adaptor in multiple scenarios and mentioned that his network speeds and downloads were faster than previous. That’s a godsend for Switch owners, so be sure to look for this when it releases.

You can check out the adapter on Bionik Gaming’s website, here.

In addition to this, they also had on display an accessory kit for the Xbox One Elite Controller called the Elite Kit. While I’ve seen several kits for the controller before, I hadn’t seen one like this. Curious, I asked if I could play around with the Elite Kit for a bit.

Included in the Elite Kit is a circular/disc-shaped d-pad attached and four paddles. The d-pad actually feels better than what Microsoft ships with the controller and would be great for games requiring circular movements, such as fighting games. The kit will be offered in either a black or silver finsh, priced at $19.99 and will be available later this year.
