Ah, Axiom Verge. The game that was created out of Nintendo neglecting the Metroid franchise and captivated millions of gamer’s hearts. It’s one of my favorites, for sure and if you haven’t played it, you really should. So, not too long ago it was rumored that Axiom Verge was going to be released on the Nintendo Switch. Then that rumor was shot down, making just about every new Switch owner sad over that.

Well, now the game is actually getting an official release. Yes, Axiom Verge is coming to the Switch and it will be released alongside… wait, is that right? Alongside the Wii U version and PS Vita versions? Oh, and this will be a physical edition, being published by Badland Games. So if you like physical boxes, don’t miss out on this.

Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition, as it’s being called, will be released on the PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, and Switch. The title will be priced at $29.99 and will include several goodies.

  • Deluxe booklet with developer commentary and artwork
  • Documentary by Player 2 Productions
  • Double-sided poster
  • Physical soundtrack (Switch)
