Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Standalone Release Is On The Way

By Keith MitchellJune 23, 2017

Remember when Activision first announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered? This is a remaster of perhaps my favorite Call of Duty title, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Sadly, the only way you could pick up the title is if you picked up Call of Duty Infinite Warfare as well. Insert frowny face here.

Well, looks like Activision has changed their tune and has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is getting a stand-alone release. Heading to the PS4 on June 27th, while the Xbox One and PC will have to wait until July 27th. Something about “First On PlayStation 4” (Don’t get me started on 3rd party exclusive nonsense). All three versions will cost $39.99, but will not include the Modern Warfare Remastered Variety Map Pack.

I know a few COD fans that will be happy about the news. And I’m pretty excited about this myself, especially since I lost my original PC CD a long time ago.

We’ll definitely be getting our hands on this once it is released and putting it through its paces. Be sure to look out for the review in the upcoming weeks.
