Star Wars Battlefront II Officially Revealed

By Keith MitchellApril 16, 2017

The game isn’t even out and already Star Wars Battlefront II has managed to generate a large amount of hype and confusion. Thankfully, we finally got the reveal that EA was teasing us with, this past week. The trailer, as a Star Wars fan and gamer, is well done, if I say so. Tons of cool moments, cameo’s, and the graphics look amazing. The fact that this game will apparently span multiple eras, meaning we’ll get different Star War history segments is a nice touch.

Per the presser we received, this will span the pieces of history that we didn’t get to see on screen.

“In Star Wars Battlefront II, we all wanted to really capture the essence of being heroic and how in Star Wars, anyone can become a hero,” says Matt Webster, Executive Producer at Criterion. “Whether that’s playing as an iconic character like Rey or Luke, as a front-line trooper or fighter pilot in epic multiplayer battles, or playing through a new Star Wars story that bridges the gap between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and Star Wars™: The Force Awakens, you will become a hero in Star Wars Battlefront II.”

In addition, EA has stated that there will no season pass, which is a good idea. Especially seeing what happened with the first Star Wars: Battlefront.

While we’re not ready to confirm any live service plans just yet, what we can say is this we heard the feedback from our Battlefront community loud and clear. We know they want more depth, more progression, and more content. So we’re focused on delivering that in every dimension of Star Wars Battlefront II. We’ll have more to share about our plans soon.

Star Wars Battlefront II will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with Standard and Elite Trooper Deluxe Editions.
