Pokemon GO Has 65 Million Monthly Active Users

By Todd BlackApril 8, 2017
Pokemon Go, Pokemon Sleep

Let me repeat that for you, “65 Million Monthly Active Users”. This was revealed by developer Niantic on their blog after they had received a BAFTA (British Academy of Film, Television and Arts) award for Best Mobile and Handheld Game for Pokemon GO.

The fact that Pokemon GO is still having this big of an audience, nearly a year after it released is incredible. Especially since a lot of people considered it a fad, one that did indeed die down after initial release when it seemed like EVERYONE was playing it. But, it keeps on cranking, and keeps on with the players, so that’s something. Think about it like this, there are MMORPGs and other online games that would kill for those kinds of numbers.

With Spring arriving for us in the “northern hemisphere”, Niantic promises that the game will have “all new cooperative social gameplay experiences in Pokémon GO that will give Trainers new and exciting reasons to get back into the sunshine.”

What does that mean? Well, guess we’ll have to wait and see.
