Neon Yellow Joy-con and Battery Pack Announced for Nintendo Switch

By Keith MitchellApril 12, 2017
Nintendo Switch

During the recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that there were two new accessories coming for the Switch. The first up is a Neon Yellow Joy-con. The left/right Joy-cons are being sold separately for 4,480 yen or bundled together for 7,480. Both will be available on June 6th, 2017, alongside the release of ARMS for the Nintendo Switch.

I’d imagine when (if) this comes to North America that they’ll be priced similarly to the current Joy-cons on the market. Many gamers had speculated that it was only a matter of time before Nintendo started cranking out different colors, hopefully, this is only the start.

In addition to the Joy-con announcement, Nintendo also revealed a battery pack accessory that attaches to the Joy-cons. This new battery will connect to the underside of a Joy-con will extend the battery life, utilizing two AA batteries. The Joy-con battery pack attachment is priced at 3,280 and will also be available on June 6, 2016, in Japan. Judging from the package, you’ll need to pick up two of these.

This will definitely help prolong the battery duration of the Nintendo Switch when you’re gaming on the go.
