Call Of Duty: WW2 To Feature A Co-op Mode?

By Keith MitchellApril 24, 2017
Call of Duty: WWII

While Activision recently announced the upcoming Call Of Duty: WW2, which was followed with several leaks, this new bit of news is quite interesting. Word is that the title will have a separate co-op mode. This will be a standalone co-op and will have an original story and one that won’t be tying into the multiplayer aspect of the title.

Keep in mind that while Call of Duty has typically featured a Zombies gameplay mode, it lacked a real story. This is great news, for both those who are looking to play with their friends and it’s a first time for the series (IIRC).

Great move adding co-op in. Big selling point. pic.twitter.com/U9sYwE9hdS

I’ve played Call of Duty since day one and while I like playing online competitively, I’d love to play alongside my buddy and trying to complete objectives. It also comes during a time where more and more games are dropping co-op features, much to the dismay of gamers everywhere. Truth be told I wasn’t too thrilled when Halo 5 didn’t feature co-op support but loved it when Gears of War 4 featured it. Other than the mention of the co-op, there hasn’t been any mention on what’s planned. Is this just an online thing or perhaps some sort of local split screen deal?

We’ll find out more during Activision’s Call Of Duty: WW2 streamed event planned that’s planned for April 26th, 2017.
