UK Still Sold Out Of Nintendo Switch’s

So, we’ve already mentioned that the Nintendo Switch is the fastest selling Nintendo console of all time. Which is no small feat mind you, as the Wii was a fast seller as well, but the Switch appears to be outpacing that. Now though, some store chains are noting just how well things are going for the Switch.

In the UK for example, all their pre-orders were sold out, and though they were able to still sell Nintendo Switch’s afterwards, they soon ran out of stock, and are thus eagerly waiting for more.

“We satisfied all pre-orders and blasted through the remainder of our initial allocation.” said HMV head of technology and games Phil Browes to MCV, “Every single one of our pre-order customers received their console on launch day, and we’re optimistic that with some great games due to be released, Switch can establish itself as a successful third console in the market. We’re a bit tight [on stock] but we’re looking forward to more deliveries this week.”

This is both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because it means the console is selling, but, if it’s not restocked quick, then sales can’t continue. So hopefully, more Nintendo Switch’s will arrive to stores soon.

In the meantime, check out our review of the Nintendo Switch, and its headliner Breath of the Wild!
