Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment Development Has Been Completed

By Keith MitchellFebruary 18, 2017

Yacht Club Games took to Twitter to announce that development on Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, has been completed!

After a stormy day and a long night…

The company is aiming to release Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment for the Switch, sometime in March. While the other platforms are looking at a later day, April at the soonest.  The reason for the delay is that Yacht Club wanted to focus on the Switch version first since the Switch is a new system. The other systems they have down already and will take less time getting the update pushed out to.

New platforms have the most unknowns! We wanted to focus on those first.

This is definitely great news to hear and I can’t wait to get my hands on the newest expansion. Speaking of which, perhaps it’s time to bust out some Shovel Knight again.

No word if Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment will make an appearance at PAX East 2017 as of yet. As soon as we find out, you’ll find out.
