New Breath Of The Wild Video Shows Off Paragliding

By Todd BlackSeptember 2, 2016

Though name dropped at the recent Nintendo Direct, no new footage for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been shown since E3, not including a video showing off the Temple of Time in Breath of the Wild. That is, until now.

Nintendo has revealed a new gameplay feature for Breath of the Wild, and this feature is truly new, as Link will now be able to Paraglide through the world. While paragliding isn’t totally new per se, as Link could do this in short distances in Skyward Sword, it’s very clear from the video below that this is true paragliding. Not only that, but Link will be able to do certain kinds of attacks from the air, or as he descends back to the ground.

The vastness and beauty of the world are also shown off, including showing off how the world reacts to Link in his battles. If you pay attention, you’ll notice that when he launches Fire Arrows, the ground itself becomes alight with flame for a time. It’s clear that Nintendo is going to great lengths to make this Zelda game shine.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled to release next year on Wii U and NX.
