Bayonetta Amiibo Possibly Coming Soon

By Todd BlackSeptember 20, 2016
Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta 3

One of the biggest, and best, surprise games on the Wii U was easily Bayonetta 2. A title that made waves when it came out originally, but ironically wasn’t picked up for a sequel until Nintendo came around. The game was so good, it received numerous Game of the Year nominations, and even won in some cases.

Then, fans voted to put her into Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS, and with that honor came another one. Bayonetta was going to be made into an Amiibo. However, news of said Bayonetta Amiibo has been scarce since its announcement. But, Bayonetta 2 director Yusuke Hashimoto posted an update and revealed a sneak preview of it:

“I’m afraid that this little taste is all I can give you right now, since we’re still working hard to get her just right,” Hashimoto said on the recent update. “But I assure you that we’re going to capture everything you know and love about Bayonetta – every detail down to the exact sizes of her glasses and eyes – and bring you an amiibo that’ll meet your every expectation.

“Back when we were making Bayonetta 2, there wasn’t any talk of bringing the game to life in three dimensions like this. In fact, this is the first time a character from a game I’ve directed has been made into a figure. I’m shocked by how well Bayonetta’s essence has been shrunk down to fit in the palm of your hand! What an amazing era…”

This likely means that the Amiibo will come out in October, as that was when the original game was released 2 years back, we’ll let you know if more info is released!
