We’ve Removed Our Ads from the Website for Now

By Keith MitchellAugust 3, 2016

I wanted to apologize to our readers regarding some complaints I received regarding ads on the site. As you may or may not be aware of, The Outerhaven Productions is 100% funded by us. We don’t have a sponsor, we don’t get any kickback for our works, so we used ads to help recoup some of the costs of running the site.

However, it has come to our attention that some of the ads that were hosted on the site, ended up hijacking sessions, mainly on those on mobile devices. This was 100% unacceptable and as such, we have removed the ads from the website. Sadly, this means we’ve lost any extra income coming in to help pay for the servers that run the site.

Of course, to offset this we do ask that you think about donating to our Patreon account (here) or if you’re feeling generous, toss a few bucks our way (here). Either way, we’ll continue to thrive, we just won’t be using ads that are intrusive. So until we find an ad service that won’t end up taking our readers to some other location, ads are gone for now.

Thank you – The Outerhaven Productions Management
