Defend the North 2016 took place from July 29 – July 30 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, White Plains NY. Defend the North hosts for the third year, one of New York City’s premiere major fighting game tournaments for the hottest games around including Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat XL, Killer Instinct World Cup Qualifier, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros, Skull Girls 2nd Encore, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelation, Pokken Tournament, Ultra Street Fighter IV, Super Smash Bros Melee and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
Defend the North is once again a Capcom Pro Tour Ranking event.
