‘The Apex Predator’ Randy Orton set to be on collision course with Brock Lesnar
It was announced earlier tonight during ‘Aftermath’ on Canada’s Sportsnet 360 that Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent in Brooklyn this August will be the returning Randy Orton.
Orton has been out with a shoulder injury since late 2015. When we last heard from Randy Orton at the WWE Hall of Fame Red Carpet pre-show, he stated that his return time table would be within 5 months. With SummerSlam taking place in mid-August, this would seemingly fit within said timetable.
No announcement was made during the SmackDown tapings this past Tuesday. No announcement was made during tonight’s airing of SmackDown in Canada, either.
Once official word comes through on Thursday’s airing on USA, we will update with any pertinent information.
