Killer Instinct Is Getting a Definitive Edition

By Keith MitchellJuly 13, 2016

Watching Xbox One fight fans, there’s one more version of the Microsoft fighter, Killer Instinct, coming. This time around, Killer Instinct, is getting a definitive edition which looks to give gamers the best of everything Killer Instinct has to offer. Throughout of all the Killer Instinct Seasons, we’ve been introduced to multiple characters and updates, all which will be included in this version. Set to launch on September 20th, 2016, if you haven’t dived in yet, then this is the perfect starting place as it combines everything into one neat package. The Killer Instinct Definitive Edition will be priced at $39.99 and is currently up for pre-order at Gamestop, Amazon, and Newegg.

  • Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition includes all 26 characters and 20 stages from Seasons 1-3, Killer Instinct Classic 1&2, Killer Instinct Original Soundtrack (physical), and a bonus skin pack, Gold Gargos
  • Explore the lore, characters, and music of Killer Instinct with exclusive behind-the-scenes videos, artwork, and an original game soundtrack
  • Compete in online multiplayer matches or test your skill online in Monthly Ranked Leagues
  • Play a cinematic story mode or train an AI combatant and challenge your friends to matches in Shadow Labs
  • Xbox One Console Exclusive

There’s currently no mention of Xbox Play Anywhere on the box cover, which could be a mishap or mockup. Or it just very well could not be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, but we’ll find out soon enough.
