Mirror’s Edge Catalyst (PC) First 25 Minutes of Gameplay 1080p

By Keith MitchellJune 3, 2016

Hey, what’s up gang! We all know that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, a re-telling of the original Mirror’s Edge featuring the heroine, Faith Conners, is releasing on June 9, 2016, for PC, Xbox One and PS4. But what if I told you that you can check out the game now if you’re a member of either Origin Access (PC) or EA Access (Xbox One). Yeah, that’s what I said. But don’t worry, if you’re not a member of either or are  PlayStation 4 owner, as I’ve recorded the first 25 minutes of gameplay from the game. Of course, this is minus any major story elements, so most of the video segments have been cut.

Straight from the PC version and recorded in 1920×1080 @ 60 fps. To be honest, I wanted to record it at 2560×1440 @ 60 fps, but YoutTube typically takes forever to encode at that setting and kills the quality thanks to the compression it does, so I figured why even bother with the higher res. Maybe when I have the full game in my hand.

In-game Settings:
2560×1440
High settings (Ultra pushed the frame rate to a non-consistent 60fps.)
Everything else maxed out

Gameplay footage was recorded with OBS Studio, PC that was used has the following specs:

Intel i7-5820K overclocked to 4.2Ghz
EVGA GTX 980ti (Soon to be a GTX 1080)
16GB of DDR4
Windows 10 Pro

We’re always open for recording all types of gameplay footage, so if there’s a game you want to be checked out, let us know.
