It has been a hefty seven years since the original release Dawn of War II and now a third installment has finally been announced. Not much is known about this third release save for that the gameplay will almost certainly still be that of an real-time strategy game. It is being developed by Relic and we know the three preliminary races involved will be the Space Marines of the Blood Ravens chapter, the Eldar, and the Orks.
Of course, every game in the series starts with these three and adds a fourth as the heart of the plot (Chaos Space Marines in the original, Tyranids in Dawn of War II), but as of yet there is no indication as to what this fourth race may possibly be or even what the plot of this entry is.
Here’s hoping for another memorable entry in an already legendary RTS series.
