Overwatch Animated Short “Hero” Released

With just one more day before the release of Blizzard’s Overwatch comes an animated short for one of my favorite characters in the game, Solider: 76. Despite the Overwatch initiative being closed and shut down, it seems that Solider: 76 has a habit of defending the defenseless; a habit that seems to get him into a bit more trouble than he would like.

Perhaps my favorite animated short of them all, call me biased, but I really enjoyed it. Sadly, it seems that this was the final animated short, and there are still several characters I would have loved to have seen one for. If anything, one thing is for sure: if Blizzard were to ever stop making games, they have a bright future in the animated film sector. That’s for damned sure.

Overwatch releases tomorrow folks, 5.23.2016 and servers go live after 4PM PDT / 7PM EDT.
