Grab Tomb Raider by Donating $1 to Charity

Beginning on March 29th, Steam users can visit GameChanger to obtain a copy of 2013’s Tomb Raider for as low as $1.

Through the use of their donation program, the employees at GameChanger want to make a impact on the lives of families struggling with illness. GameChanger strives to improves the lives of children undergoing treatment and their families through gaming. Their business model focuses on re-purposing donated items including video games. This helps to reduce e-waste and allow a higher allowance of donated funds to reach the target group.

The money obtained through purchases on the website is used to donate toys and video games,  provide financial aid, and much more. Since the business was founded in 2007, the business has donated more than $200,000 to cancer research and over 17,000 toys and games to children in hospitals partner charities, and children centers.

Video games, technology and innovation are core to our charity’s culture. …GameChanger cherishes the ability to continuously develop new business models and stay ahead of trends in an effort to make a global impact and help as many children battling cancer as possible.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have teamed up with GameChanger. As part of a collaboration with these studios, GameChanger‘s latest digital offering is a copy of Tomb Raider. You can help the team at GameChanger give back to the community by donating as little as $1 for a Tomb Raider Steam code. You are more than welcome to donate more should you feel an urge to.

If you need more incentive, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are offering more goodies to those who donate more than $1.

For those who donate $20 or more, you automatically receive the Tomb Raider Steam key, are entered to win a Collector’s Edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider, a Crystal Dynamics ‘swag bag,’ and more Lara Croft prizes retailing over $80 in product. You are also entered into a drawing GameChanger‘s grand prize which includes a new Xbox One console, 5 Xbox One video games, some accessories, and more that are over $600 in prizes. 

$50 donations or more will receive all of the previous prizes/entries plus a GameChanger Gratitude Package that is filled with a personalized Thank You letter, GameChanger ‘swag’, and more. If you happen to be one of the first 25 to donate $50 or more, you also receive a Tomb Raider poster.
