Senran Kagura Estival Versus goes gold, shows off series newcomers.

By Adriel RangelFebruary 26, 2016

Senran Kagura, the gaming world’s premier series in the Busty Brawler genre, has just gone gold with its latest title: Estival Versus, releasing March 15 for PS4 and PS Vita in North America.

Senran Kagura Estival Versus pits the world’s finest shinobi (in more ways than one) against each other in a contest of minds and might. This is no ordinary tournament however; the participants are transported to an alternate dimension where they come face to face with their deceased loved ones, and whichever team comes out on top earns the honor to lay their dear departed to rest.
Who will win? Will they be able to bear saying goodbye to their loved ones a second time? Will any of them manage to keep their clothes on? Only one way to find out!

With 28 playable characters, Estival Versus boasts the biggest roster in the series’ history. Of course, you can’t play them all at once, so why not bring some friends along? Fight with up to nine other players on PS4 (4 total on Vita) in a number of contests in teams or free-for-alls, such as: deathmatch, “understorm,” and capture the bra.

On that note, this latest entry also introduces five new characters; Ryoki, Renka, Hanabi, Kafuru, and Sayuri, as shown in the game’s latest trailer.

But the fun doesn’t end there. As Xseed is known to do with games like this, they’re packaging a bunch of goodies to go along with the game, so let’s have a look!

The Senran Kagura Estival Versus Endless Summer Edition comes with  a 108-page art book full of artwork from the series, a randomly chosen set of ten 2.5” by 3.5” holographic “pin-up cards,” each featuring one of the six factions of well-endowed shinobi featuring each girl in both their battle gear and casual wear , and a 2-disc soundtrack containing 70 total tracks.

The Senran Kagura Estival Versus Endless Summer Edition will cost $59.99 on PS4 and $49.99 on PS Vita, with the digital versions each costing $49.99 and $39.99 respectively  on the PlayStation®Store.

Adriel has been an avid lover of games and anime for near all his life. Hailing from Chicago where he is currently pursuing a degree in game design, he greatly prides himself on using both his gained knowledge from his schooling as well as his life-long experience as a gamer to analyze and express his love for games. As far as Anime goes, he likes all sorts, but loves dramatic action; his favorites being Fist of The North Star and JoJo's Bizarre adventure. Fun Fact: Adriel's favorite genres of games are Fighting games and Shooters, but his love for his reckless playstyle keep him from achieving greatness.
