Square Enix to handle Overwatch in Japan for the PS4 only

After the dust had settled from Blizzcon 2015, Square Enix made it known that they would be handling the localization of Overwatch in Japan.However it looks like they’ll be concentrating their efforts only on the PlayStation 4 version, leaving the Xbox One version in limbo in Japan.

While it isn’t news that Microsoft’s Xbox One has not being doing well in Japan, it’s sad to see that companies have given up on the platform as well as its fans in Japan. Someone else will need to step up and handle the porting and publishing duties, otherwise Overwatch will likely not making it to the Xbox One in Japan.
