EPIC Games announces Paragon, looks to be a Team based FPS game

By Keith MitchellNovember 3, 2015

From the gaming studio minds that gave us the Unreal Tournament and Gears of War series, comes a new game in a unfamiliar genre from the company. Earlier today, EPIC Games announced a new game called “Paragon” and well that’s just about we know about the in-development title. As you browse the site regarding the announcement, you’re greeted to a screen where you can see that EPIC plans on announcing a “hero”, once every week and up until December 3, 2015.  The names of the characters are Twinblast, Steel, Sparrow, Dekker and Grux.

Of the characters listed, Twinblast is available to check out today. Aptly named, Twinblast is described as a hero that goes in with both guns blazing, so it would seem. GOing further, you’re able to select an item which will be unlock-able in the game. Speaking of which, there is also a beta sign up for the title, which you can find on the Paragaon website or by clicking here.

Giving the cryptic nature of the reveal and how EPIC Games is calling the characters in the game, heroes, i’m going to go on a limb and speculate that this game is similar to Valve’s Team Fortress 2 and Blizzard’s upcoming Over Watch and that this is going to be  a team based first person shooter or FPS MOBA.

That’s it for now, but stay tuned for the hero release next as we break down that character, with whatever cryptic clues EPIC Games provides us with.
