New ACCEL WORLD TV Anime Green Lit

At Sunday’s Dengeki Bunko Anime Festival stage event, it was announced that Reki Kawahara’s light novel series, Accel World, will be receiving a brand new television anime with a new original story. The new anime will be titled Accel World: Infinite Burst and will feature returning characters Kuroyukihime, Haruyuki, Chiyuri, and Takumu as well as some brand new characters.  Other than the fact that Reki Kawahara is writing the story for the anime, no additional information has been stated.  A trailer, however, was released Sunday on Dengeki Bunko Online featuring the announcement of the new anime series.

Accel World: Infinite Burst Announce Trailer

Accel World: Infinite Burst will be produced by Sunrise Pictures and will be directed by Masakazu Obara (Lead Director), Yukiko Aikei (Animation) and Yousuke Kabashima (Action).  The Accel World television anime will receive a Blu-ray Box on December 23. It will feature the 24 television episodes, the two original video anime episodes bundled with the game, and the eight shorts. The first limited-edition copies will add a box with an exclusive illustration by HIMA, special five-disc Digipak packaging, three bonus CDs with “re acceleration BGM feat.”  and a booklet.
