Anime Studio Manglobe Files for Bankruptcy

By Josh PiedraOctober 2, 2015

There have been rumors that the anime studio Manglobe has had issues paying back their debts.  Then, news broke Thursday via Anime! Anime! Biz that Manglobe has filed for bankruptcy as of Tuesday September 29th.  There is no word on whether or not that Genocidal Organ is going to be released or if the production on that movie had been completed, but the site did have a statement that read “The film is slated for a November 13 opening. It would be realistic to move the production [of the movie] to another company, but it would require adjusting the schedule.”

Manglobe was founded in 2002 by Shinichiro Kobayashi and Takashi Kochiyama. The studio produced shows such as Samurai Champloo, The World God Only Knows, Hayate the Combat Butler, Deadman Wonderland, Samurai Flamenco, and most recently, Gangsta. among others.
