Netflix and Marvel drop the Jessica Jones premiere trailer

By Keith MitchellSeptember 10, 2015

Netflix and Marvel are hard at work with their second Netflix exclusive series, Jessica Jones. That’s right, wife to that other power house, Luke Cage and of the grand scheme of getting Marvel’s Defenders crossover series up and running.

And while the trailer doesn’t really given you any direct insight as to what to expect, pay close attention to it as it doesn’t give some subtle hints.

For those who don’t know the story of Jessica Jones, once she was a hero within the Marvel universe, until she was placed under mind control by the villain known as Zebediah Killgrave, aka “The Purple Man“. In a nut shell he forced her to commit all sorts of acts that she normally would not do and eventually forced her to kill Dare Devil, but instead she wind up attacking the Scarlet Witch and was eventually severely injured by her teammates. She would ultimately fall into a coma for several months, all while under the care of S.H.I.E.L.D and after she finally awoke, she found that she wasn’t even missed while she was out of action. Frustrated ad saddened at the same time, Jessica gave up the super hero life.

The Jessica Jones series will debut on Netflix on November 20, 2015 and if it’s anywhere as good as Dare Devil was, we’re all in for a treat.
