Comcept INC offers an exclusive Mighty No. 9 trial for backers

By Keith MitchellAugust 28, 2015

While Comcept INC has upset it’s fair share of fans and Kickstarter backers, it seems that they understand just how bad the situation is and has a plan to at least try to make it right. Recently announced, Comcept INC is releasing an “Exclusive” trial version of Mighty No.9, for everyone who donated to the Kickstarter campaign. They’re looking at releasing this trail as of September 15, 2015, so be on the look out for it.

Sadly this does seem to be a PC only trial, so console owners will be waiting a little longer.

And this trial is a dozy.

We’ll have access to four levels straight from the full game, which is an increase of one as the original demo only gave access to three levels. The stages included will be the Opening Stage, No. 1 Stage, No. 3 Stage, and the No. 5 Stage in their complete states! Along with that, the stages will have all of their cut scenes intact, so we’ll get access to part of the Mighty No. 9 story.

Included will also be both selection of both the voice and subtitle options, a retro (8-bit) soundtrack, and new game options such as changing the dialogue boxes, effects and more.

They’ve even tossed in the challenge mode stages from 1-6! But lastly, they’ll provide the PC version of Mighty Gunvolt, which will arrive on Steam on September 15, 2015. While we’ll have access to the codes, the game won’t unlock until the release day however.

The team apparently releases how much the fans were upset about delay after delay, and they’re acknowledging this and offering an apology as well.

Finally, the Mighty No. 9 Team would like to apologize once more to our fans and backers regarding the recently announced delay to the Mighty No. 9 release date. We hope that this Trial Ver. of the game will give our backers a glimpse of what the final product will look like. Thank you for all of your support up until now Mighties!

―The Mighty No. 9 Team

Expect the trial to be released on September 15th, 2015. Is this enough to forgive Comcept INC for its constant delays on Mighty No. 9 or are you still frustrated that we won’t get the entire game until 2016?
