Tales of Berseria Revealed for PS3 and PS4

Tales of Berseria

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Tales of Berseria at the “Tales of Festival 2015” event. The game will be released for PS3 and PS4 in Japan.

At the event, Bandai Namco revealed that Rina Satou will be voicing the game’s heroine, Velvet. While previous instalments of the Tales Of series have featured a male and female lead, Tales of Berseria features just Velvet as the sole protagonist. It was also revealed that Mutsumi Inomata will return to do the game’s character designs. Information on the rest of the cast is slated to come at a later date.

Animation studio Ufotable, known for Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, will be animating the game’s cutscenes.

At the moment, the game is only confirmed for a release in Japan. But considering the series’s track record, it is highly likely the game will find its way into other territories. A release date and price have yet to be confirmed.

The newest instalment in the Tales Of… series, Tales of Zesteria, is slated to be released in the West this fall.
