Missy Returns for Doctor Who Season 9 Premier

By Aaron SandersFebruary 20, 2015

In an official Doctor Who blog post from The Doctor Who Team, the team confirms that Missy will appear in the two part season 9 premier. Michelle Gomez speaking in Cardiff said, “Things have been a little beige since I left Missy behind, so I’m delighted to be putting my Lippie back on. I’m positively dying to see the Doctor again!”

Last season on Doctor Who, Michelle Gomez burst on to the scene as the newest regeneration of The Doctor’s arch-nemesis, a female version of The Master. After appearing to die at the end of her season 8 finale story arch, ‘Dark Water’ and ‘Death in Heaven’, every Doctor Who fan knows that The Master will never truly die and disappear. Michelle Gomez will appear in the season 9 premier, ‘The Magician’s Apprentice’ and ‘The Witch’s Familiar’ written by Steven Moffat, along side returning guest star Jemma Redgrave as the Brigadier’s daughter Kate Stewart. Joining them are new Doctor Who guest stars, BBC heavy hitters; Kelly Hunter, Clare Higgins, and Jaye Griffiths.
