Two Resident Evil titles in the works from Capcom, Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Resident Evil HD Remaster

Looks like Capcom has gone a tad bit Resident Evil crazy as of late with the announcement of two entry’s in the series. First up is a HD remaster of the Resident Evil that was released on the Gamecube back in 2002, which adds updated textures and a bumped up resolution as well as a 5.1 surround sound mix and a widebox / 16:9 aspect ratio.  Slated to release in 2015, this new edition of Resident Evil will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

I don’t know about the rest of you but hopefully this is the last remaster of this title, it’s getting a bit out of hand there Capcom.

Next up is Resident Evil Revelations 2, a follow-up to the original Resident Evil Revelations  that appeared on the Nintendo 3DS  (2012) and eventually ported over to the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on May 2013. Not much is known regarding the following other than the cryptic teaser video and the official announcement that the title is in development.  Resident Evil Revelations 2 is slated to be released on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC in 2015, there was no mention of a Nintendo 3DS or Wii U release for the title.

Now all we need is an announcement of Resident Evil 7  going into development. You hear me Capcom? Number 7, make it happen!
