Wipeout, that futuristic racer from the PlayStation 1 era that spanned countless other futuristic racers is perhaps one of my favorite racers of all time. So you can imagine how I felt when Sony decided to close down the studio formerly known as Psygnosis/SCE Studio Liverpool back during 2012. However as of recent there’s been some rumbling from a company known as R8, who more importantly is made up of former Psygnosis/SCE Studio Liverpool employees who also happen to be working on yet another futuristic racer called Formula Fusion. Currently the title is in development with the PC first in line with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to follow, hopefully.
Everything seen in the video below was actually created in a few months and per R8, it was targeted at Wipeouts fans. Well R8 your plan has succeed, I am very interested indeed. I’ll be watching the development of this title very closely.
