Strider release date announced and new modes confirmed

Capcom finally let the cat out of the bag and has announced that the release date for their upcoming remake of Strider will be released on February 18th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and then on February 19th for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC for $14.99.

They also confirmed that there will be extra modes as well; Beacon Run (Not Bacon) – a speed run mode that requires players to get to several checkpoints while hacking their way through enemies and a Survival Mode – Think of this as a horde mode with style.

There will be 12 costumes to unlock and a color edit mode as well, so not only will you get to slash and hack away but you’ll get to do it in your own unique style as well. So there you go, Strider time is almost here! Will this be 2-0 for Double Helix?

*Update* – Looks like there is a preorder deal going on at Steam as well. Preorder the game now up until 2.19.2014 and get the digital soundtrack and artbook.
