Amazon looking to one-up mail delivery services with Amazon Prime Air

By Keith MitchellDecember 2, 2013

If Amazon gets their way, perhaps in a few years your packages you get from them may just come from a delivery drone. Yep, I said delivery drone. Amazon wants to introduce “Amazon Prime Air” which is  service that would allow drones to deliver packages up to 5 pounds to addresses within 10 feet of a Amazon fulfillment center.  The plan still needs to be tested and approved by the FAA but the process is already underway.

Part of me thinks this is also but the other part thinks that some how this would be abused or worse. Still it’s a cool idea and I just have one request from Amazon if it the FAA passes this; Please let the drones play the “Ride of the Valkyrie” once they’re in flight. For more info you can check out a 60 minutes interview regarding Amazon Prime Air.
