That’s all I can stands I can’t stands no more

By Keith MitchellMarch 11, 2013

I can honestly say that the later portion of 2012 up until now has to be the worst time to be a fan of Disney TV shows. Actually let me rephrase that; It has to be the worst time to be a fan of Disney TV shows that are worth a damn. Yeah, that sums up my anger better. Surely by now you’ve all heard the news that Disney & LucasFilms has canned the acclaimed (that spanned 5 years and over 100 episodes) “Star Wars: Clone Wars” 3D CGI tv show. While some may not agree with me, I rate the series higher than the last 3  Star War movies. I guess they figured that once one of the main attractions were gone, Ahsoka Tano, that it wasn’t worth it anymore.

“I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.”

Don’t get me wrong, I loved Ahsoka as a charcater but thre was so many more things about the show that I liked such as; Yoda was’t a poorly animated hoping toad, Anakin wasn’t a whinny brat and was an actually a great character, Mace Windu was still alive, the instant comedy that the Battle Droids provided and the troopers. Hell the troopers in action was more than enough to warrant watching the show. But now it’s over……

Which leads me to continue my rant. It’s bad enough that Star Wars: Clone Wars was canned but what about the shows cancelled prior to this. That’s right I’m talking about Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes, Motorcity and Tron: Uprising. Sure Young Justice and Green Lantern were also cancelled but we can’t blame that on Disney, but still it doesn’t help the situation. Maybe I’m over reacting but it seems to me that Disney could care less about it’s grown up audience. Sure I completely understand that they’re a company and they’re in it to make money but last time I checked it was the teen to adults who had the money to purchase all of that lovely Disney merchandise… barring any rich kids who got it one way or another. Maybe I just don’t understand their business decisions but to me it doesn’t make sense to kill off shows that catered to the grown up audience, but then again I don’t run the show there.

Either way this is definitely not a good sign for fans of any adult orientated Disney shows with the exception of their Movies… Disney would be bat-shit insane to stop causing issues in ANY Marvel related movie property. In short and with a bit of irony I feel that Obi-wan can sum this up perfectly; “I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.”

I couldn’t have summed it up any better Master Jedi.
