Weekly Audio Spotlight – Tekken Tag Tournament

By Holland CulbreathAugust 14, 2012

After watching this amazing trailer:

I’ve decided I’ve gotta dedicate this week’s WAS to one of my favorite Fighting game soundtracks of all time. I gotta go back to the game that gave that trailer it’s amazing music.

The original Tekken Tag Tournament had one of the best soundtracks in the series. That’s a tall order, considering the amazing work Namco’s sound team has put into the Tekken series from the very beginning. Tekken has always has some of the best music in fighting games, but I have to admit I’ve bumped Tag’s tracks harder than the rest.

I dunno about you guys, but King’s theme never sounded more epic to me.

And this is the best Ogre theme ever.

I could go on, because the entire soundtrack is amazing. But instead I’ll just direct you to grab Tekken Hybrid collector’s edition if you want the soundtracks for both Tag 1 and 2 in your collection!
