Author of 'Where Wild Things Are' Maurice Sendak Passes Away

By Keith MitchellMay 8, 2012

It is with a heavy heart that I am reporting that Maurice Sendak, author of a book that the majority have read or seen in one point in our lives; Where The Wild Things Are, has passed away on May 8th due to a complications from a stroke that occurred on May 5th 2012. He passed away at the age of 83, so while it’s safe to say he lived a full life he definitely will be missed.

You know I’ve never read this story to my children, sure I’ve taken them to see the movie that was adapted from book, I feel rather bad about that. I’ve deprived them from a masterpiece that must be read or read to. I will rectify that issue tonight.

Rest In Piece Maurice, your story will ensure that you’ll never be forgotten.
