Spectator Mode New Logo- Dray-1280x720

The Spectator Mode crew and guest Baron from LV1 Gaming discuss the major news from the gaming industry this week. First up is the Xbox podcast business update that addressed the state of Xbox, its ongoing plans for going multiplatform (not that they aren’t already), and what we thought about the podcast. Then we jump over to the PlayStation side of things, as they also had some big news this week regarding its plans for ramping up its PS5/PC games, the PlayStation 5 not selling as much as Sony wanted, and the state of PlayStation. Then we discussed more gaming stuff, including physical vs. digital games, retro collecting, Dark Souls 2, and more.

Timestamps:

00:00 – Intro
00:46 – Xbox talks about its strategy and multiplatform plans
45:47 – Day one PS5 and PC games sooner than expected
1:05:00 – Physical games and live services
1:13:05 – Meanwhile, there’s Nintendo
1:15:48 – Game controllers and collectibles
1:21:16 – Breaking Baron’s mind over Dark Souls 2
1:25:00 – Recimnising about old gaming deals
1:33:22 – Outro

Considering rating us on iTunes, that way we can continue to reach out to new listeners and make this the best gaming podcast it can be! The more reviews we get, the more people will listen to the show. It’s a win/win for everyone!
