Rebel Moon was always going to be an interesting thing to witness unfold for multiple reasons. Arguably the biggest reason was because it was a Zack Snyder film, and people can’t help but be divisive about his movies. This franchise was meant to be his take on the Star Wars universe, and both films did well on Netflix when they debuted. However, the other reason for the “interesting” tidbit was that Snyder admitted right out the gate that the films would get a more “hardcore” version. Sure enough, the first trailer for the Rebel Moon Director’s Cut has come, and it’s certainly much more violent and mature.
As someone who watched both movies, I can say that the vast majority of the scenes that we see in the trailer are new. There are new action scenes, more shots with key characters, more…uh…intimate moments…and new characters that weren’t even in the original films!
