Mega Man I-V Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

By Josh PiedraJune 7, 2024

Nintendo has announced that Mega Man I-V (known as Rockman World 1-5 in Japan) are officially headed to the Nintendo Switch via their online service!

Nintendo said this about the games:

Fill up your energy meter and call your robo-dog, because today Nintendo Switch Online members* can play the original five Game Boy™ MEGA MAN™ titles – MEGA MAN™: DR. WILY’S REVENGE, MEGA MAN™ II, MEGA MAN™ III, MEGA MAN™ IV and MEGA MAN™ V – as a part of the Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online library!

The games were originally launched on the Nintendo Game Boy. Capcom once planned a collection of the five titles called Mega Man Mania which was to offer colorized versions of the games; however, the project was canceled. While this is not a “Legacy Collection,” at least the Game Boy titles are finally given a home in modern-era gaming.
